Although the business volume and main operating income of warehousing companies in my country have increased significantly in the past two years, profits remain low. The average asset per unit of a warehousing company is only 25.33 million yuan. Among all logistics companies, the average operating revenue profit margin is 8.77%.
5. Shortage of warehousing talent. The development of the warehousing industry requires not only skilled professionals, but also operational and management personnel, all of whom are currently facing a severe shortage in my country.
6. The legal framework and regulations for warehousing management are inadequate. my country's legal system for warehousing management started relatively late, and existing regulations are no longer suitable for current realities due to production development and advancements in science. To date, my country lacks a comprehensive "Warehouse Law." Furthermore, warehousing managers in my country often lack a strong sense of legal awareness and are unable to utilize legal means to protect the interests of their businesses.
My country's warehousing industry is developing rapidly. With the dramatic increase in online shopping, online payments, and mobile e-commerce, more and more companies are entering the warehousing sector. By the end of 2008, the number of warehousing companies in my country had reached 17,416, employing 511,000 people and generating 302.09 billion yuan in revenue. In 2009, fixed asset investment in the warehousing industry reached 176.6 billion yuan, and added value reached 173.7 billion yuan.
